1323277 Triazolobenzodiazepines UPJOHN CO 11 April 1972 [10 May 1971] 16670/72 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R = 5-6 membered heteroaromatic radical; A=R, C 5-7 cycloalkyl, R 4 R 5 Ph; R 4,5 =H, C 1-3 alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulphinyl, alkylsulphonyl or alkanoylamino, halogen, NO 2 , CN, CF 3 , NH 2 , di-(C 1-3 alkyl) amino; R 1 =H, C 1-3 alkyl), their 5-oxides and acid addition salts of the compounds and 5-oxides are prepared by reacting a compound of the formula with RCONHNH 2 , optionally followed by oxidation and/or salt formation. The above compounds are sedatives, hypnotics, anticonvulsants, tranquillizers and muscle relaxants, and increase growth rate and feed efficiency of livestock. They may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical or veterinary preparations or food premixes containing them in association with a carrier. |
