<p>PURPOSE:To rectify and smooth a commercial AC current as it is and enable to use a small-type power source as a power source for recording, by a method wherein a circuit consisting of a heating element and a switching circuit is connected in parallel with a circuit consisting of a resistor and a switching circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a picture element in image information corresponding to a heating element 111 is a black picture element, a switching circuit 21 is turned ON, and a switching circuit 171 is turned OFF, so that an electric current is passed through the heating element 111. When a picture element corresponding to a heating element 112 is a white picture element, a switching circuit 122 is turned OFF, and a switching circuit 172 is turned ON, so that an electric current is shunted to a resistor 162, and no electric current is passed to the heating element 112. Accordingly, of the heating elements 111-11N, only those which correspond to black picture elements are selectively supplied with an electric current for a period of time corresponding to the width of a recording pulse. Where the resistance of the heating elements 111-11N and the resistors 161-16N is R and the resitnace of wiring is neglected, the load resistance for the recording power source 13 at the time of a recording action is RXN, which is constnat independently of the image information.</p> |
