PURPOSE:To prevent a toner spent and developed image quality from deterioration due to long time use and to enhance mechanical strength by forming a coating layer made of a silicone resin contg. fine kaolin particles on the surface of each core particle. CONSTITUTION:The surface of each carrier core particle is covered with a coating layer made of a silicone resin contg. fine kaolin clay particles. The particle diameters of the fine clay particles are optional so long as they are smaller than, e.g., the thickness of the silicone resin layer. The surfaces of the core particles are coated with a coating layer compsn. obtained by dispersing said fine particles into a soln. of the silicone resin, e.g., by the spraying method. the carrier particles thus obtained has the silicone resin coating layer high in mechanical strength, and they are prevented from deterioration of developed image quality due to long time use. |
