PURPOSE:To contrive to stabilize developed color images and ground color against hair treatment toiletries or oils and fats, by incorporating a specified metallic salt derivative of a phthalic acid monoester into a color forming layer comprising a basic colorless dye and an organic color developer. CONSTITUTION:An organic color developer, a basic colorless dye and a metallic salt derivative of a phthalic acid monoester of the formula are pulverized by an attritor or an appropriate emulsifying device, and various additives are added thereto in accordance with the purpose to obtain a coating liquid. The coating liquis is applied to a paper or one of various films to obtain a thermal recording paper. The derivative is preferably a metallic salt of benzyl phthalate or a metallic salt of monocyclohexyl phthalate. The color developer is preferably a monophenolic 4-hydroxyphenyl compound or a phthalic acid monoester. |
