PURPOSE:To obtain a wide range of various kinds of steel shapes with the same plant and to economize personal and energy to be used with a titled plante provided with lines for supplying webs, upper and lower flange materials by cutting and straightening longitudinally one flange material then conducting the same to a welding machine. CONSTITUTION:Non-equilateral and non-equal thickness H-beams and T-steels for flanges are manufactured by using lines 1, 2 and 3 for supplying webs, upper and lower flange materials in the same way as in the prior art. One, for example, 2 of the lines 2, 3 is stopped and a slitter 341, guide rollers 35 and a straightener 36 are provided to the line 3 with equilateral and equal width H- beams and non-equilateral and non-equal thickness H-beams. The slitter 341 is adjusted laterally with respect to the flow direction of a blank material by a guiding device 342 so that the material can be cut to a non-equal width as well. The cut materials are branched to above and below by the rollers 35 and are traveled and guided by the same distance until the materials arrive at a welding machine 4. Coilers 27, 28 are provided on the looper inlet and outlet side of the line 2 to connect respectively the ends of the materials in the stage of switching the line 2 to operation or pause. |
