The invention is a method of producing pipes of zirconium alloy containing 1-5 weight percent alloy materials such as Sn, Fe, Cr, and Ni. With this invention, improved corrosion resistance can be obtained through annealing partly after extrusion and between cold rollings in a strictly limited temperature range in α phase range for significantly longer time periods than standard in order to attain an equilibrium between secondary phase particles and zirconium mass and partly before the final cold rolling(s) within a strictly limited temperature range in α phase range in order to maximize the weight proportion secondary phase. A minimal level of Fe in a solid solution is thus reached. |
