NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R is lower alkyl, alkanoyloxyalkyl or lower alkoxymethyl) and its salt. EXAMPLE:Methyl 3-( sodium-sulfonato )-6-( sodium- 1 -sulfonatoxyethyl )-7-oxo-1- azabicycloz(3,2,0)hept-2-ene-2-carboxylate. USE:beta-Lactamas inhibitor. PREPARATION:The objective compound is produced by reacting the carboxylic acid compound of formula II or is derivative wherein 1-2 sulfonic acid groups are metallic salts or ammonium salts [e.g. 3-(sodium-sulfonato)-6-(sodium-1-sulfonatoxyethyl)-7-oxo-1-azabicyclo( 3,2,0)hept-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid sodium salt] with a diazoalkane (e.g. diazomethane) preferably in hydrochloric acid-methanol solution at 2-6pH and -10-+5 deg.C. |
