The electronic ignition point adjuster has a pulse generator which responds to the rotating speed of the engine shaft. The generator produces reference signals and additional signals which indicate the angular position of the shaft. This adjuster can be relatively simply modified to achieve any desired ignition point adjusting variation curve and this curve is a nonlinear function of the engine rotating speed. The relative intervals of the pulses in both series are measured by a timing device and the pulses of the second series are used for initiating a spark in the sparking plugs. A certain number of pulses in both series have nonlinear relative intervals. The timing discs are transmitted to the ignition system by sensors.
|
