<p>The dishwasher has a wash container (1) which at the bottom forms a collecting basin (3) for the soapy water which is separated off by a funnel-shaped fine sieve (9) whose funnel outlet (13) opens into a collector chamber for the large dirty particles which is fitted with a water spray pump and forms part of the drainage system. The walls of the fine sieve are inclined by more than 30 deg., preferably more than 45 deg. so that the dirty particles deposited by the soapy water are readily washed away during operation. For easy maintenance and repair the fine sieve is preferably mounted at the front of the machine, i.e. near the door opening so that it can be readily removed. For a greater filter surface area the sieve is preferably oblong with a rectangular cross-section.</p> |
