PURPOSE:To prevent the stall of an engine, which is likely to occur when the position of an automatic transmission is shifted, by providing a means for eliminating a fuel stoppage signal generated in the deceleration of the engine, when the automatic transmission is shifted from the neutral position to a drive position. CONSTITUTION:In the deceleration of an engine after its racing, an H-signal indicating a fuel cutoff region is supplied from a gate 7 to another gate 9. When a gearshift is changed from the neutral range to a drive range, an L-signal having replaced the H-signal is supplied as a shifted position signal to a timer 6 so that the timer sends out an H-signal for ceasing the stoppage of fuel, to the gate 9 for two seconds since the L-signal is supplied as the shifted position signal. For that reason, an L-signal for supplying fuel is sent from the gate 9 to another gate 10 for the two seconds so that the gate 10 sends an H-signal to a transistor 11. As a result, an injector 5 injects the fuel for the two seconds though the operation of the engine is in the fuel cutoff zone, thus preventing the engine from stalling. |
