The steering arrangement for a sailing vessel comprises two rudders (1) which are kinematically connected both to a control member and therebetween in order to enable their mutual rotation about axes (2) being so defined that they are offset in the sailing direction of the vessel in relation to the point of application of a resultant pressure exerted by water on the rudders (1). A kinematic chain (3, 4, 5) connecting the rudders (1) is so provided that it enables free rotation of the rudders substantially at the same angle in mutually opposite directions in relation to external forces applied to the rudders.
