PURPOSE:To obtain a graphic input device having high stability to the fluctuation of operation by averaging the writing pressure of a pointer over a graph and comparing this writing pressure with the boundary pressure to obtain the corresponding color information and then to decide the color of the graph. CONSTITUTION:A pressure position input part 3 consists of a pointer 4, an input surface 5 and a control part 6. The pressure information and the position information are produced when an operator operates the pointer 3 containing a strain gauge on the surface 5. The pressure information is sent to an average pressure calculating circuit 7. The circuit 7 adds the pressure information sampled between the start and the end of input and dividing the integrated value by the sampling frequency when the input is through to obtain the average value. This average value is sent to a color deciding circuit 8 and compared with the contents of a boundary pressure memory to obtain the pressure level information. Then the color information corresponding to the pressure level is read out of a color information memory 10. Thus it is possible to decide the color or a graph from the average value of the writing pressure of the graph. |
