PURPOSE:To obtain a light-weight and high-stiffness diaphragm for speaker by using a foil where a light-weight and high-stiffness metallic layer is formed on one face of a high polymer film at least. CONSTITUTION:A light-weight and high-stiffness metal is vapor-deposited or metallic foils 8 and 9 are stuck to both or one face of a light-weight high polymer film 7 to obtain the foil used for the diaphragm. A high polymer film consisting of a polyester resin, a polyamide resin, a polyimide resin, or the like is used as the film 7, and aluminum, boron, beryllium, or the like is used as materials of metallic foils. If the foil having a sandwich structure where metallic layers 8 and 9 are formed on both faces of the film is used as a core material or a surface material or the foil having a canape structure where the metallic layer 8 is formed on one face of the film 7 is used as a core material or a surface material, the light-weight and high-stiffness diaphragm is obtained. |
