PURPOSE:To make the code of transfer data unnecessary by detecting optical data, which is transmitted by the shutter function of a liquid crystal display element, with a solar battery in the data transfer system of optical coupling. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal display device 6 for data transmission is provided in the end part of a computer body 5, and a printer body 7 independent of the computer 5 is provided with a solar battery 8 for data reception in a position corresoponding to the luquid crystal display device 6. When the data of the computer 5 is printed out by the printer 7, the liquid crystal display device 6 is turned on and off in accordance with the transfer data, and an optical signal pulse which is transmitted through the display device 6 in accordance with this shutter function is detected by the solar battery of the printer 7, thus transferring the data. |
