PURPOSE:To obtain a toner suitable for a heat roll fixing process by using a mixture of 3 kinds of resins fractionated by the gel permeation chromatography. CONSTITUTION:A resin obtained by polymerizing or copolymerizing alpha,beta-ethylenically unsatd. monomer is fractionated into 3 fractions of A, B, and C in the elution order using mol.wt. of 100,000 and 200,000 as a border lines. Proportions of A, B, and C are 20-30wt%, 5-15wt%, and 60-70wt%, respectively, and their glass transition points are 35-50 deg.C, 35-60 deg.C, and 50-100 deg.C, respectively. Styrene, acrylic acid, vinyl chloride, etc. are used for said monomer, and the toner obtained by using said polymers is superior in fixability and offset resistance. |
