PURPOSE:To enhance the characteristic of road-holding, by providing such an arrangement that a suspension bushing for the upper support of a shock-absorber is made expansible and contractible by the charge and discharge of pressure fluid, and therefore, pressure fluid is fed upon detection of running on a rough road to increase a spring constant. CONSTITUTION:When the top end part of a piston rod 10 in a shock-absorber 8 which is disposed, for absorbing vibration of a suspension spring 23, between a wheel support member and a vehicle body 21, is attached to the vehicle body 21, there is used a suspension bushing 16 which is formed by vulcanizing a rubber resilient member 15 to bond the latter between support plates 13, 14. The resilient member 15 of the suspension bushing 16 is incorporated therein with a plurality of hollow bags 27 connected to a pressure fluid source through a hose 30 and a solenoid valve. When a control circuit detects a variation in the output of a vehicle height sensor or vertical acceleration detecting sensor so that running on a rough load is detected, the solenoid valve is opened to rais the pressure in the bags 27 to increase the spring constant of the suspension spring 16. |
