PURPOSE:To improve storage performance and leakage resistance of an alkaline battery by using a nonwoven sheet comprising a mixture of nylon and mercerized pulp as an absorbing material. CONSTITUTION:In a button type silver oxide battery, a nonwoven sheet manufactured with a mixture of nylon fibers and mercerized pulp is used as an absorbing material. By use of nylon, oxidation resistance of the sheet is increased and storage performance of the battery is improved, and by mercerized pulp, increase of internal resistance in the final stage of discharge of the battery is suppressed. Since this nonwoven sheet is cut without fluffing, leakage resistance is also increased. |
