PURPOSE:To perform highly accurate detection of the opening degree of a throttle valve all the time, by learning and controlling the output state of the throttle valve, thereby absorbing errors in output characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A theta operating means 2 computes the opening degree theta of a throttle valve, based on a voltage signal outputted from a throttle-valve-opening- degree sensor 1, by using an output-voltage characteristic expression theta=BX(A- Vs) for the throttle-valve-opening-degree sensor 1. A switch 3 for detecting the totally closed state of the throttle is provided. The value of A in said output- voltage characteristic expression is updated to a value, which is corrected based on the output value from the throttle-opening-degree sensor 1 by the throttle-valve totally closing switch 3 every time the totally closed state is detected. A throttle-valve totally opening switch 5 is added as shown by a dotted line in the Figure. Then the value of B in said output-voltage characteristic expression can be updated to a value, which is corrected based on the output voltage value of the throttle-valve-opening-degree sensor 1 and the updated value of said A. |
