摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a toner superior in heat fixability by using a spherical toner prepared by the suspension polymn. method. CONSTITUTION:A toner prepared by the suspension polymn. method has a number average particle diameter of 5-25mum, and a Wader practical sphericity of 0.95-1.00, and its binder resin has a gel content of 0.05-90wt%, and a glass transition point of >=45 deg.C. The suspension polymn. method needs not the classification step which other methods need, a desired particle diameter for the toner can be directly obtained stably, and since an emulsifier or the like is not used, the stability of the toner against the environment and its developing performance are superior. Styrene, ethylene, vinyl chloride, etc. are used for the monomer for preparing the binder resin of the toner, and divinylbenzene, divinylnaphthalene, etc. are used for a cross-linking agent, and this agent is used at the time of the suspension polymn. of the monomer to obtain the toner of the cross-linked polymer.
