PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of wrong alarm by setting the added-up value of the weighted value for a prescribed steering pattern and generating alarm on the basis of the added-up value, in an apparatus which detects the driving asleep on the basis of the steering pattern and generates alarm. CONSTITUTION:A steering detecting means 1 for detecting the steering state of a steering wheel is provided, and a steering standard memory means 5 which memorizes a plurality of fundamental steering patterns about the steering of a steering wheel and the weighted values set for the above-described pattersn is provided. The steering signal supplied from the steering detecting means 1 is collated with the fundamental steering patterns in the memory means 5 by a collation means 3, and the weighted value in accordance with the result of collation is outputted. Then the weighted values are added-up in an addition means 7, and when the added-up value exceeds a prescribed value within a certain time, an alarm means 9 is operated to alarm the generation of driving asleep. |
