<p>The novel oxazolidines of the formula <IMAGE> in which m is an integer from 1 to 4, X is hydrogen or alkoxycarbonyl, Y<1> and Y<2> are hydrogen or methyl, Z<1> is phenyl, phenoxy or phenoxymethyl, which is optionally ring-substituted by up to 3 substituents from the group consisting of halogen, hydroxyl, phenoxy, hydroxymethyl, nitro, amino, carbamoyl, trifluoromethyl, alkyl, alkoxy, alkanoylamino, alkoxybenzylamino and alkylsulphonylmethyl, Z<2> is a group of the formula <IMAGE> in which R<1>, R<2> and R have the meanings indicated in Claim 1, and the physiologically tolerable salts thereof have catabolic action and can be used for the treatment of obesity and diabetes or for the treatment of conditions which are associated with increased protein degradation, or as a food additive. They are prepared starting from corresponding 2-hydroxyethylamines.</p> |
