PURPOSE:To check water flowing down in a ledge part and prevent the water from penetrating into the inside of an engine room as well as to make the infiltrate water drainable, by installing a hook part rising in inversed U-shaped form, in a ledge part end edge of the side of a front fender. CONSTITUTION:A ledge part 2 projected to the side of an engine room E.R is formed at the upper end of a hood ledge panel 1, while at this ledge part 2, a ledge part 5 being bent in almodt L-shaped form is superposed downward from the upper edge of a front fender 4 and joined together through a bolt-and-nut 7. In addition, at an end edge of the ledge part 2, a flange part 3 is formed into being upward, while at an end edge of the ledge part 5, a hook part 10 rising in inversed U-shaped form is formed, and both these parts 3 and 10 are engaged with each other. With this constitution, water penetrating from a parting clearance G and flowing down on the ledge part 5 is checked at the hook part and, what si more, the ledge part 5 is made to function as a trough for drain guide use, thus water inflow into the inside of the engine room E.R is prevented. |
