PURPOSE:To facilitate the initial bridging operation for a band-shaped material by axially supporting a pair of guide rolls arranged in parallel to the upper and the lower surfaces of the band-shaped material and in slant form in the direction of traveling, with a different phase in the vertical direction, between a pair of connecting plates which are rotatable around a horizontal shaft. CONSTITUTION:A pair of connecting plates 1a and 1b are arranged oppositely in parallel on the both sides of the traveling passage of a traveling transfer body (a), and said connecting plates 1a and 1b are rotatably arranged around the horizontal rotary shafts 2a and 2b respectively. Though a pair of guide rolls 3a and 3b are axially supported rotatably between the both connecting plates 1a and 1b, said guide rolls 3a and 3b are arranged in parallel to the surface of the band-shaped material (a) and in slant form with respect to the direction of advance of the band-shaped material, and the edge parts of the roll shafts 8a and 8b are supported onto the connecting plates 1a and 1b by a swivel block 9. Therefore, the band-shaped body (a) in straight line form can be bridged in nearly S-figure form onto the guide rolls 3a and 3b by synchronously revolving the both connecting plates 1a and 1b. |
