PURPOSE:To enable to obtain a uniform density for every line, by a method wherein a main scanning of a line head having a dot length smaller than a sub- scanning line density of image information is carried out twice in a sub-scanning period, and the amount of energy impressed in the second time is set to be smaller than that in the first time. CONSTITUTION:When recording in a high-density mode, a line density mode signal (b) becomes low, and an output from a high-density timer 11 is made to be an impressed pulse (c). On the other hand, when recording in a low-density mode, an output from a low-density first-time timer 12 is made to be an impressed pulse (c), followed by a rest period set by a rest timer 13, and then an output from a low-density second-time timer 14 is made to be an impressed pulse (c). Thus, by providing an appropriate rest period for the pulse width in the second line, an image with uniform density can be obtained. Accordingly, it is enabled to obtain a uniform density for every line in a two-time writing thermal recorder and to record with high quality. |
