PURPOSE:To obtain a grease resistant to discoloration and degradation, even from a paraffinic base oil, by dissolving a metallic soap raw material in a part of the lubrication base oil, adding a part of the base oil to the solution, dehydrating the mixture, and adding the remaining part of the base oil to the mixture. CONSTITUTION:The raw material of a metallic soap is added to and dissolved in 5-30% lubrication base oil (based on the whole lubrication base oil) composed mainly of preferably a praffinic base oil, and the solution is mixed with 0-45% lubrication base oil (based on the whole lubrication base oil) and dehydrated. The sum of the lubrication base oil used as the solvent and the additive is <=50% of the whole lubrication base oil. The dehydrated product is mixed with >=50% lubrication base oil (based on the whole lubrication base oil) preferably containing >=20% naphthenic base oil to obtain the objective grease. |
