<p>Different materials (wood, paper, fabrics) are fire-proofed by impregnating or coating 5-20% of dicyandiamidine chloro- or bromohydrate (I) with other fire-proofing agents (borax etc). 20-60% of the fireproofing agent (I) is used with thermosetting aminoplast varnishes of 40 - 70% solids for fabrics, laminates etc. (I) are effective, do not affect flexibility and are water soluble (usable as 55% soln. above 40 degrees C) and after neutralisation are miscible with aminoplasts.</p> |
