PURPOSE:To change the amplitude of mold oscillation by controlling the ratio between the descending time of the mold and the time when the mold speed during descending of the mold is higher than the casting speed to the value within a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:The rotating speed of a prime mover 24 and the reduction ratio of a speed reducing means consisting of bevel gears 18, 18' 19, 19' and clutches 22, 22' are so set that a shaft 1 revolves at the same rotating speed as the prescribed oscillating frequency for mold oscillation. The eccentric distance e1 of an eccentric sleeve 9 is set at the same distance as the eccentric distance e2 of the sleeve 9 to make min. oscillation amplitude zero. On the other hand, the values e1 and e2 are so set that the max. oscillation amp. 2X(e1+ e2) attains the max. set amplitude value of the mold or above. The number of relative revolutions of said shaft part 2 and the sleeve 9 is made correspondent with the adequate change speed of amplitude by selecting suitably the number of teeth of the gears 26, 27, 28, 29. |
