PURPOSE:To simplify operations carried out by the operator, by performing automatic supply and automatic retraction of a continuous paper by changing over a paper-feeding change-over lever, in a printer in which slips and a continuous paper are alternatively used. CONSTITUTION:When printing on a slip after printing on a continuous paper, the paper-feeding change-over lever 12 is set from a position (a) to a position (c), whereby a platen 2 and a tractor 7 are driven reversely by a signal from a micro-switch 17, the continuous paper 6 is automatically retracted, and is stopped on passing by a micro-switch 18. When the lever 12 is set to the side (b), only the slip 5 can be moved. When the lever 12 is changed over from the slip side (b) to the continuous paper side (a), the tractor 7 and the platen 2 are rotated forward by an operation of the switch 17, and the continuous paper 6 is automatically supplied by the same quantity as the retraction quantity. Accordingly, the operations by the operator are simplified, and labor is alleviated. |
