PURPOSE:To simplify substantially the execution of producing a cryostat by mounting a metal roof on the upper portion of a plurality of planer concrete side plates provided on the inner peripheral surface with heat insulating materials and membranes and fastening both side plate and metal roof by a prestressed steel wire. CONSTITUTION:After compression resisting adiabatic materials 6 are incorporated in the inner peripheral surface of a side plate 5 of a reinforced concrete made planer plate, they are laminated biased to mesh with the bottom plate 2 and other side plate 5. A membrane 7 similar a membrane 4 is bonded to the surface of said material 6 to assemble the side wall element which is combined with the bottom plate 2 to provide the peripheral wall of a tank. A prestressed and tentioned steel wire 9 is inserted between the adjacent side walls 5 to weld the adjacent portion of the membrane with a corner piece 10. A metal roof 12 on which heat insulating materials are laminated is mounted on the peripheral wall and connected to the side plate 5 by the prestressed wire 14. |
