The sun visor can be lifted up or lowered, and is located partly by a fixed permanent attachment and partly by a releasable fixture. This latter fixture comprises two parts, i.e. one with a cylindrical outer surface fitted on the sun screen, and another with a notch in which the first part is rotatably and releasably fitted. The second part is fitted on a vehicle. The sun visor has a mirror on its side turned away from a window pane, and a lamp is provided for illumination of the mirror, being connected via a switch to a voltage source. - The cylindrical cover surface (7) is electrically conductive along an axial and rectangular surface (8) electrically connected to the lamp (11). The notch (10) contains a locating contact (11) which works in conjunction with the conductive surface and is connected to the voltage source. The rectangular surface (8) and the contact (11) are in contact with each other when the visor (1) is collapsed, and the lamp (15) has another connection (13,16) to the voltage source (5) via a permanent location (2-4).
