PURPOSE:To reduce the storage capacity of a holding means, and to simplify control by outputting a video data signal of the lower half of a display panel and a video data signal of the upper half, by the same timing from a supplying part, whenever the held contents are rewritten. CONSTITUTION:As for the third frame memory 15, the first half memory part is brought to write control at the rate of once per two horizontal scannings in the first half of each frame period, also the latter half memory part is brought to readout control, and in the latter half, too, the latter half memory part is brought to write control at the same rate as the first half, and also the first half memory part is brought to readout control. In this case, the storage capacity of a holding means of a picture data signal is made smaller than conventional cases, and also the write control and the readout control of the third frame memory 15 can be executed by the same timing control. |
