PURPOSE:To enable formation of a good image on small-sized transfer paper as well by constituting a titled device in such a way that the smaller guiding part of two guiding parts to guide large- and small-sized transfer paper is displaced according to the rigidity of the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:The 1st guiding part 19 which guides transfer paper P1 of an ordinary size and the 2nd guiding part 20 which guides transfer paper P2 having a small size and large rigidity are provided to a lower guiding plate 17. The part 20 is formed of an elastic plate 25 and is so constituted as to be displaced accroding to the rigidity of transfer paper P2. The paper P2is guided to the position near the transfer point on a photosensitive body 11 and therefore the contact of the paper P2 with the body 11 and consequent bending of the front end thereof are obviated. Defective transfer and jamming of paper are thus prevented. Satisfactory image formation and conveyance are thus made possible with the small sized recording medium as well. |
