<p>Depilatory wax comprises a mixt. of a resin (A) of m.pt. about 85 degrees C comprising (by wt.) 75 - 80% colophony (I) and 20 - 25% paraffin wax (II); a resin (B) of m.pt. about 77 degrees C, comprising 70 - 75% (I) and 25 - 30% (II); and a resin (C) of m.pt. about 80 degrees C comprising about 2/3 (I) the remaining 1/3 being principally spermaceti with a minor amt. of (II), there being >=100 pts. (A) to about 50 pts. each of (B) and (C); and a conventional cosmetic oil as carrier so that final compsn. has m.pt. about 72 degrees C and is sufficiently viscous to be applied to the skin at 50 - 60 degrees C. Compsn. is easily applied at relatively low temp., has no unpleasant odour and does not irritate the skin.</p> |
