<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of clogging in an aeration apparatus, by providing such a mechanism that sewage is prevented from flowing into the main body of a container by a ball valve when compressed air is sent into the container main body of the aeration apparatus to perform air diffusion. CONSTITUTION:When compressed air is introduced into the air chamber 22 of a container main body 21 from the branched pipe 12 of a compressed air supply pipe through an introducing port 23 and diffused throughout sewage by an air diffusing member 26, a ball valve 29 closes a discharge port 25. When sewage invaded into the air chamber 22 through the air diffusing member 26 during the stoppage of aeration, the ball valve 29 floats. When aeration is again started and compressed air enters the air chamber 22, because of the flotation of the ball valve 29, the sewage in the air chamber 22 is flowed out from the discharge port 25 against the force of the spring 32 of a check valve 30 and the ball valve 29 is fallen to close the discharge port 25. Subsequently, the pressure in the air chamber 22 rises and air is diffused into sewage from the fine pores of the air diffusing member 26.</p> |
