Latent heat accumulator with cake-shaped or plate-shaped elements arranged in a pressure-tight container and filled with a accumulator material. The plate-shaped elements have a passage in the middle and are arranged in the container around a central pipe. The central pipe serves to supply and remove cooling medium, a further pipe being arranged coaxially in the central pipe.
