In a device for mounting cable harnesses, having a retaining plate and means for holding the cables on the retaining plate, especially in the region of junction points, as well as plug housings which are fixed to the retaining plate and have contact pins to make temporary electrical contact with contact sleeves which are arranged on the cable harnesses and are accommodated in bush housings, in order for the contacting means to make low-wear contact with the plugs and sockets and for easily accessible and reliable connection of the same, the plugs have contact pins (8) which are freely displaceable axially and can be inserted into the plug housings (7) against spring force, by means of the contact sleeves of the bush housings (9), and the bush housings (9) are fixed in the plugs by latching elements (11), such that they can be released. <IMAGE>
