The invention of a vertically radiating loudspeaker is based on the object of using a single commercially available broadband loudspeaker system in conjunction with the pyramid-shaped loudspeaker housing given by the radiation of the sound waves vertically upwards and downwards to ensure pleasant acoustic irradiation which is still tolerable even at high volumes. Due to the sound waves reflecting from the ceiling (or reflector) in combination with the vertically downwardly radiated low frequencies, caused by the design of the housing, consequently a very pleasant stereophonic sound with great voluminous richness of tone is obtained. The vertical radiation of the sound waves consequently eliminates the sharpness of conventional horizontal radiation at high volumes.
