A device for producing plate-shaped mouldings from pulp is provided with a suction bench which is pivotable by 180 DEG and on whose suction surface a substantially flat, plate-shaped pre-moulding is produced by the suction/spreading process and presolidified. This pre-moulding is transferred into a pallet (deck) containing a final moulding element and, together with this, passed in the further process sequence through to complete solidification. For a troublefree rapid process sequence, a transporting and deck-guiding device is provided which picks up movable deck stacks on one side of the suction bench, separates the decks, places the individual decks underneath the suction bench for picking up the pre-mouldings and, on the other side of the suction bench, reassembles the filled decks again to give movable stacks.
