PURPOSE:To permit to control injecting and stopping of super high pressure fuel with a solenoid having a small output, contrive to obtain good responding property and miniaturize the valve by a method wherein a power cylinder, controlling a hydraulic pressure for control with the solenoid valve, is provided in the valve. CONSTITUTION:When a solenoid 108 is conducted, a plunger 144 is attracted upwardly, a valve body 146 is lifted and the pressure chamber 134 of the power cylinder 138 is communicated with the chamber 156 through a path 158. At the same time, a steel ball 148 moves upwardly to interrupt communication between the inlet port 104 of fuel for control and the pressure chamber 134. The pressure chamber 134 and a lower chamber 164 are communicated with a drain chamber 156, therefore, forces acting on both end faces of a piston 132 are balanced. On the other hand, the super high pressure fuel is being acted on the pressure chamber 120, therefore, a needle valve 126 is opened and the fuel is injected. |
