A voltage converter with mains isolation contains a circuit on the secondary side for generating a control variable, a circuit on the primary side for the pulsed driving of the switching transistor, and, in between, a DC-isolating coupler for transmitting the control variable from the secondary side to the primary side. According to the invention, the circuit on the secondary side, an optocoupler for feeding back the control variable to the primary side, and the circuit on the primary side are in each case designed as an integrated circuit and are installed in a common housing, preferably a dual-in-line housing. <IMAGE>
