The subject of the invention is a coupling for mounting agricultural appliances on a tractor, which can be adjusted out of a lower working position into an upper travelling position and fixed in this by means of a hydraulic cylinder (1) articulated on the tractor rear. For fixing the coupling in the upper position, there is a dimensionally stable stop (4) which is mounted pivotably on a journal (11) at the end of the piston rod (10) and which at one end has blocking members (8). When the stop (4) pivots in the direction of the fully extended piston rod (10), the blocking members (8) come to bear against the end face (7) of the hydraulic cylinder, with the result that the sensitive piston rod (10) is relieved of stress. <IMAGE>
