PURPOSE:To prepare the titled food having delicately different feeling to the tooth from that of the conventional food, by slitting a meat paste to fine filaments, arranging the filamens parallelly in the form of a sheet, and rolling the obtained substrate sheet spirally so as to croos the longitudinal direction of the filament slantly. CONSTITUTION:A number of finely slit filaments of a meat paste product composed mainly of ground fish meat are arranged in parallel connecting the sides of the filaments with each other to obtain a sheet. The sheet substrate for food is rolled spirally in a manner to cross slantly the longitudinal direction of finely slit filament to obtain the objective food. The food substrate can be manufactured e.g. by slitting a sheet of a fish paste product parallelly with small intervals, separating the slit filaments from each other, and bonding a part of the filament with fish paste. The slitting of the fish paste product can be carried out by passing a fish paste product sheet between a pair of slitting rolls 2, 2 form one end. |
