The invention relates to a pedal for vehicles, in particular bicycles and drives with a tread crank. In order to produce a positively engaging shoe/pedal combination and at the same time to permit the cycle to be mounted and dismounted easily, a bayonet-like connection (9, 10) with three or more closure elements (4, 5) is provided as connecting device between shoe and pedal (1). This connection produces a connection which is positively engaging in all three spatial directions and at the same time has one or more separating areas in which lifting off from or insertion into the parts connected with the tread crank is easily possible. <IMAGE>
