PURPOSE:To enable to construct a heat-insulated engine economically, by obtaining a high wear resistance at high temperatures by flame-spraying chrome oxide over the surfaces of piston rings and a cylinder liner used under high temperatures where they are kept in sliding contact with each other. CONSTITUTION:Chrome oxide is flame-sprayed over the surfaces of piston rings of an engine and the inner surface of a cylinder liner made of cast iron, respectively, and a wear-resisting layer is formed over these surfaces. |
