The non-return valve for medical applications, particularly for a balloon catheter comprises a hollow housing (3) which is provided on its front face with a connection opening (8) for the introduction of a syringe mouthpiece, and with two stops (16, 17) for a piston (18). With its outer surface said piston controls the opening or closing of at least one port (15) arranged in the cylindrical wall (14) of the housing (3). The first stop (16) forms a light projection so that the piston (18) may be introduced into the housing (3) through the opening (8) by elastic deformation of the housing and/or the piston. This enables to form definitely the second stop (15) on the front face opposite to the connection opening (8), already at the manufacturing stage of the housing.
