Roofers have inclined hoists with ladders which can be retracted and extended telescopically and thus linearly. A slide with a motor can travel back and forth on the pushed-apart ladders. When the ladders are pushed apart, the inclined hoist is placed with these ladders against a roof edge. Building material can then be conveyed by the slide onto the roof. In many cases, the top ladder should be folded and then placed onto the roof surface parallel to the same. The kit according to the invention is used for this purpose. It essentially consists of two sections, connected to one another in an articulated manner, and a mounted head piece. The two sections are pushed into the top ladder of the existing inclined hoist. They then form a folding top ladder in the inclined hoist. When required, the roofer pulls this top ladder out of the original top ladder of his inclined hoist. He can fold the top section and place it in parallel onto the roof surface. The advantage of the kit according to the invention is that the roofer, by using the kit, can inexpensively convert his existing inclined hoist into such an inclined hoist with a folding top ladder.
