<p>1280080 Reciprocating pumps COOK CHEMICAL CO 2 April 1970 [26 June 1969] 15575/70 Heading F1A A hand-autuated pump for mounting in a container by a screw cap 18 comprises a reciprocable plunger 22 with a finger-engageable head 24 formed with a discharge spout 28; a locking collar 12 being rotatable about plunger 22 between the position shown, in which it prevents depression of the plunger, and a position in which a slot 40 in the collar is in alignment with a rib in head 24 to permit depression of the plunger. When the plunger is depressed with the collar in its released position, the collar is frictionally engaged by cavity 50 in head 24 and reciprocates with head 24. After use, collar 12 is disengaged from cavity 50 by pulling knurled boss 38, which is also used for rotating the collar. Stops formed on the top of the collar limit its rotational movement. Indicia on boss 38 indicate the operation of the collar.</p> |
