PURPOSE:To make an automobile adjustable to a reference line easily in case of inspection of the automobile, by detecting the slippage of a tread center line of front and rear wheels in reference to the set reference beeline, while shifting the automobile to some extent on the basis of the detected slippage. CONSTITUTION:An automobile is made to go self-propelled to a device 20 and its wheels are mounted on support plates 14R, L, 15R and L each, In the case where a car center line E is crossed with a reference beeline F of the device 20, each front wheel comes into contact with toe measuring instruments 12R and L whereby respective travel values from reference lines K and J of rods 12R and L are inputted into these toe measuring instruments. As for other wheels, they are all the same as in this way. A signal being fed to an operation part from these for measuring instruments is processed for calculation, outputting the specified control signal to each of feed controllers 14 and 15. With this constitution, these support plates 14R, L, 15R and L are shifted to some extent whereby the car center line E is accorded with the reference beeline F. |
