PURPOSE:To enable to make use of the titled heater conviniently without being restricted placewise by making the same into simple, miniature and inexpensive constitution, by making an oxidation catalyst carrier ceramics heating by contact with mixed gas consisting of an organic volatile agent and air into a heat source of a water heater. CONSTITUTION:Ceramics in a honeycomb structure is arranged within a vessel 2 containing a liquid to be heated in a separating state from the liquid 7 by making one side opening 1a of the ceramics into the lower part and the other opening 1b of the same into the upper part. A solid or liquid organic volatible agent 4 is contained into an independent chamber 3 on an inner bottom of the vessel 2. A discharge opening 3a of the volatile agent is made to correspond with the lower opening 1a of the ceramics 1, oxidation exothermic reaction is made to generate through contact of ceramics 1 with the volatile agent and air resulting from running through of mixed gas of the volatile agent and the air from the lower opening 1a of the ceramics 1 to the upper opening 1b. The gas heated by the ceramics 1 is led to the inside of a pipe 6, through which the heat exchanger pipe 6 is heated up to a high temperature and then it comes to heat and boil the liquid 7. |
