PURPOSE:To make the damper operate stably with the stroke of above a determined number, by forming an oil hole in a hollow piston rod oil passage, inserting a free piston pressed and energized toward one way, in the hole, and making this oil hole close when the device is sunk to the definite position. CONSTITUTION:When a load presses a car, a piston rod 5 moves downward compared with a cylinder 2, but the car-height adjusting function does not operate and the car body lowers to some degree, while a free piston 9 does not touch the top of a rod 12. When the piston rod 5 moves lower than the definite position, the free piston 9 touches the top of the rod 12, moves upward through an oil passage 5a and a ball 13 closes an oil hole 9a. In this mechanism, an oil pressure is arisen in the oil passage 5a, and oil pushes and opens a ball 30, flows into an oil pressure room S5 through an oil hole 5b and an oil passage 23a, moves a piston 25 downward and adjusts the car body to be raised. Consequently, the damper can be operated stably with the stroke of above a determined number. |
